Welcome to the first official Cobblers blog,

Here we are at the end of our 8th summer season in our garden restaurant townhouse and what an amazing season it has been.

As you may or may not know, The Cobblers Restaurant is situated right in the heart of Alaior, a quaint spanish town just inland of the south coast of Menorca, the second largest Balearic Island.

Our courtyard is very open and you can literally dine under the stars, basking in the great ambience, which we have often been complimented on.

We received a lot of bookings through www.villalocator.com an up and coming website company in which you can advertise your properties, ( we greatly appreciated their support this summer ), we know where we will be looking for our next cheap holiday, FABULOUS!! Although Menorca will always be our favourite, thats why we moved here.

If you look around you can find cheap flights to menorca, for your next holiday in the sun. We really do have spectacular summers here. So instead of restricting yourself to one stunning beach resort like Cala en Porter or Son bou, why not look for a intriguing day excursion or for a reasonably priced car hire company, to travel the island taking in the picturesque scenery and breathtaking views. You can enjoy the many beaches, the markets in towns such as mahon or cuitadella, or even visit monte torro, the highest point of the island with the unique nunery and church, watching over the island.

Well I suppose I better get back to work, as we're open every weekend this december, doing set menus and sunday roast dinners, you can take the girl out of england but never away from her sunday roast.
